Aragonite Clusters are beautiful specimens that are usually reddish brown but can also have a slight green tint. They are also known as Aragonite Star Clusters or Sputnik Aragonite. Aragonite is a carbonate mineral. It is one of the two common, naturally occurring, crystal forms of calcium carbonate. It is formed by biological and physical processes, including precipitation from marine and freshwater environments.
Aragonite forms orthorhombic crystals, which are crystals that have three axes of different lengths intersecting at right angles. Almost all Aragonite crystals are twinned growths of three individual crystals that form pseudohexagonal trillings. Therefore, although Aragonite crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, virtually all its crystals are hexagonal shaped.
Aragonite acts as a stabilizing stone. It stabilizes the base chakra, and strengthens your connection with the earth. It is also believed to be a useful tool for meditation. Aragonite is often used to center and ground physical energies and is very useful during stressful times. Star Clusters in particular promote a sense of balance while cleansing the surrounding energy.
Because these are real mineral specimens, variations in size, shape, and color are to be expected. You will receive one cluster mineral specimen similar to the reference specimens
