Description

• Papilio blumei, the peacock or green swallowtail, is a butterfly of the family Papilionidae and is found only on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi
• These specimens are useful to use for their wings (for artwork, fairy dolls, jewelry) or to use as a teaching tool. These specimens are very fragile and should be handled with care
• If you would like to spread your moth for mounting, there are a few guides that will turn up if you search how to hydrate butterflies to spread their wings
• You will receive one preserved green swallowtail butterfly similar to the reference specimen
• Each peacock swallowtail butterfly is roughly 2-2.5″ unspread. Please keep in mind that these specimens are dried and unspread (as shown in the first picture), meaning the wings are closed and will need to be hydrated to be mounted spread out (shown in the second picture)
