• Sodalite is a member of the Feldspathoid group of minerals, which are formed in alkali rich, but silica poor environments. Sodalite’s beautiful, pure blue color makes it a popular stone for jewelry and ornaments
• Sodalite is a rich royal blue mineral that is a member of the sodalite group with hauyne, nosean, lazurite and tugtupite
• Discovered in 1811 in the Ilimaussaq intrusive complex in Greenland, sodalite did not become important as an ornamental stone until 1891 when vast deposits of fine material were discovered in Ontario, Canada
• You will receive 20 polished stones similar to the reference specimens
• Each tumbled stone will be unique in size, shape, color and pattern
