Description

• Papilio karna karna, also known as the Jungle Jade Butterfly, is a species of swallowtail butterfly from the genus Papilio that is found in Java, Sumatra, Borneo and the Philippines
• These specimens are useful to use for their wings (for artwork, fairy dolls, jewelry) or to use as a teaching tool. They are also very fragile and should be handled with care
• If you would like to spread your butterfly for mounting, there are a few guides that will turn up if you search how to hydrate butterflies to spread their wings
• You will receive one preserved jungle jade swallowtail butterfly similar to the reference specimen
• Each jungle jade swallowtail butterfly is roughly 2-2.5″ unspread. Please keep in mind that these specimens are dried and unspread (as shown in the first picture), meaning the wings are closed and will need to be hydrated to be mounted spread out (shown in the second picture)
